Integrated Diversion Systems: Engineering Controls for Compliant Runoff Management
Thursday, October 29th | 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M.
Commercial and industrial sites such as outdoor wash or decontamination areas, chemical loading docks, and aircraft hangars can generate multiple runoff streams with different discharge requirements. Stormwater, wash water, spills, and other potentially contaminated flows may collect through the same drain but must be directed to storm sewer, sanitary sewer, pretreatment, or dedicated containment. This webinar introduces diversion strategies by NWPX designed to effectively manage these flows, beginning with demand-driven and first-flush systems for common unroofed wash pad applications.
Then, we’ll explore how diversion technology can be integrated with catchment, pretreatment, containment, monitoring, and/or pumping systems to address more complex site requirements. Through integrated system examples, attendees will learn how NWPX packaged systems can bring these functions together into a coordinated solution, simplifying project design and installation while supporting compliant runoff management and reducing risk for project owners.
Topics Include:
• Runoff diversion fundamentals and flow-routing strategies
• Diverter valve types: electric vs. hydraulic
• Common applications: demand-driven and first flush diversion for wash pad runoff
• Advanced applications: Integrated systems for catchment, diversion, spill containment, pumping, and/or sanitary pretreatment
• Coordinating design across civil, plumbing, and mechanical disciplines
